Yoga and Fitness Instructor
Cathy has been physically active almost since she was born. She was raised in Ohio, and mom taught me how to swim at the age of two. Cathy’s mom always told Cathy that she was like a fish, wanting to be in the water more than out (maybe because she’s a Pisces?). Cathy played the flute in band and marched as a majorette from the 5th grade through 12th. Working as a Flight Attendant for 20 years, flying out of Baltimore and Norfolk, fitness and yoga sustained her. This combination keeps Cathy’s muscles flexible and her bones strong. Cathy moved to San Diego to marry her husband, Michael. She is a step-mom to two boys: both are grown and live out of state. In 2006, Cathy earned her 200 HR Yoga Certification with additional training to address seniors’ needs and currently teach at the Carmel Valley Library, Pacific Regent as well as with private clients. She teaches chair and standing yoga, physical fitness and dance both in the chair and standing.
